Flood Relief for East Tennessee
This past weekend, East Tennessee was hit with severe flooding. Volunteers from all over the area are doing what they can to help out. If you would like to help, you can donate items, such as:

Keller Williams Market Center in Maryville is partnering with Marble City Logistics and Averitt. They are parking 2 trailers in their parking lot Mon, Oct 7. The trailers will be in their parking lot for 2 weeks before sent to much needed designations.
East Tn Jeeps are collecting donations for Cocke County flood victims Saturday Oct. 5th at Advance Auto on Hwy 321 Friday 9am to 11am then in the evening 5pm to 7pm. Also Saturday morning (10/5) they will be at Walmart 10am.
Second Harvest of East Tennessee are seeking the following items for their food drive on Wednesday, Oct. 9. at West Town Mall from 6am-7pm. Please note, donated items must fit under these guidelines, no other items will be accepted. A limited amount of giveaways will be available to those who donate.
- Bottled Water
- Pop Top Canned Food (no can opener or cooking required)
- ‘Open and Eat Now’ Food (i.e.: protein bars, crackers, peanut butter, etc that don’t require cooking)
Clayton Home Building Group is hosting a supply drive to aid neighbors devastated by recent flooding. One of Clayton’s core values is to “do good,” which is why Clayton home building facilities in East Tennessee are teaming up with designated Emergency Management Agencies to collect and distribute aid to communities in need.
The public is invited to drop off supplies at participating facilities Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. until Friday Oct. 11. All locations are taking donations of batteries, and below is a list of the drop off locations and the items accepted for donation:
- Clayton Morristown Lux Interior Doors and Clayton Morristown Distribution located at 5649 East Morris Blvd, Morristown, is collecting infant care items including: diapers, wipes baby food with a good shelf life, formula and baby powder.
- Clayton Maynardville located at 164 Raccoon Valley Road, Maynardville, is collecting cleaning supplies including: mops, brooms, shovels, all weather boots and box fans
- Clayton Appalachia located at 1420 Mountain Road, Andersonville, is collecting toiletries and personal hygiene products including: toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, bodywash, soap, deodorant, new hairbrushes, feminine hygiene products and adult diapers.
- Clayton Giles located at 405 S Broad Street, New Tazewell, is collecting pet supplies, household items and clothing including: dry dog and cat food, box fans, toilet paper, paper products, plasticware, towels and washcloths, dryer sheets, laundry detergent, fabric softener, new underwear and bras, non-electric can openers, lighters, charger packs, flashlights and air mattresses.
- TRU Halls located at 3926 Fountain Valley Road, Knoxville, is collecting non-perishables including: protein bars, hydration packets, canned food and water.
- Clayton Bean Station located at 1160 Lee Hwy, Bean Station, is collecting non-perishables including: protein bars, hydration packets and canned food.
- TRU White Pine located at 2215 Walnut Street, White Pine, is collecting miscellaneous items.
- Clayton Rutledge located at 395 Highway 11w South, Rutledge, is collecting water.
Faircloth Customs & Coatings, 8812 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, is accepting storm donations. They just had a customer park an 18 wheeler in their lot and are planning a trip on Saturday (10/12) or sooner if they can get it filled up.
The Salvation Army

Greeneville Police Department
GPD asks that donors bring all donation items to the Greenville Flyboys’ front office located at Pioneer Park to the right of the ticket windows anytime between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Townsend/Great Smokies KOA Holiday
Items can be dropped off at the welcome center at 7929 E Lamar Alexander Pkwy, Townsend, TN 37882.
YMCA
All YMCA of East Tennessee locations will be accepting donations in the coming days to be delivered to Unicoi County.
Knox County Gov. is collecting cases of water or other fresh water supplies donations starting 8am Monday Engineering & Public Works (205 West Baxter Avenue, 37917, 865-215-5800)
The former Pigeon Forge Welcome Center, located at 1950 Parkway, 10am-4pm Mon-Fri.
Cocke County Mayor Rob Mathis said Sunday night that the following churches have been set up as distribution centers for food and water throughout the county:
